What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient system of health and healing that originated in India.
It views the human being as a whole – body, mind, and lifestyle are interconnected and constantly seeking balance. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, Ayurveda looks at the entire person and the body’s natural ability to regulate and restore itself.

Through simple rituals, mindful living, nourishing food, and the healing power of touch, Ayurveda helps us reconnect with our natural state of balance and well-being.

About

In my work, I bring together Ayurvedic bodywork and somatic approaches. Both are based on a simple understanding: the body is an intelligent system that can learn, adapt, and regulate itself when it experiences safety, awareness, and care.

I am deeply moved by how much the body holds – memories, tension, but also an innate capacity for healing and returning to balance.

While Ayurveda works with rituals, rhythm, warm oils, and the nourishing quality of touch, somatic practices invite slow movement and gentle awareness of what is happening within the body. Together, these approaches can help the nervous system settle and allow a deeper sense of embodiment to emerge.

My intention is to create spaces where women can reconnect with their bodies, listen more closely to their inner signals, and rediscover a sense of trust in themselves.

Services

Ayurvedic Full Body Massage (Abhyanga)

In Ayurveda, the Sanskrit word Sneha carries a beautiful double meaning: it refers both to oil and to love. This reflects the understanding that touch is not merely a technique, but an expression of care and nourishment.

During this treatment, warm herbal oils are applied in slow, rhythmic strokes that invite the body to soften and unwind. The massage gently supports the nervous system, stimulates circulation and lymphatic flow, and encourages deep relaxation.

Many people experience Abhyanga as deeply grounding and restorative, supporting restful sleep, regeneration, and the body’s natural detoxification processes.
